Our need analysis in partner institutions based on governmental documents, publications, and discussions with experts key stakeholders revealed that partner countries needs are:
- Lack of training of staff to design, develop and implement IMCert. curriculum.
- Poor basic training tools of staff in teaching and learning in field of immune modulation.
- Low efficiency of staff needed for boosting research directed to immune modulation.
- Low awareness of post graduates in the interest of learning immune modulation issues addressing socio-economic problems.
- Need for a centre of excellence with advanced equipments for technical capacity building and E-learning classrooms.
- Poor communication and exchanges of experience between postgraduates/ staff.
- Absence of education material for on line learning resources to be shared on of immune modulation.
- Poor connection with European channels taking lead in this field.
- Absence of required skills for technician to use advanced equipments.
- Universities needs to bridge the gaps between academia and socio-economic problems in community.
In order to tackle the above mentioned needs evaluated as urgent and increasing in immunology field, we propose to build up IMCert. an innovative training program of 1 year diploma program enabled through blended learning. The program will be delivered first in Al-Azhar University for post graduates with scientific backgrounds.
The main target of IMCert. is to open postgraduates to get expertise in this field; This diploma can provide the capacities to study the immune deregulation associating previously mentioned diseases, accompanying their development and aggressiveness, Including promoting capacity for animal experimental immune therapy trials, which may provide more efficient and less toxic alternative treatments. Using a blended-learning setting face to face and also on-line instructions e-Learning under European partners’ guidance.
IMCert. program is important to elucidate the relation between immune status and epidemiologic factors driving individual variation in immune response to pathologies, and to discover factors stimulating, repressing, modulating immune response, and affecting risk stratification and survival. This will help in development of novel technologies to assess complex role of immune system in those disease susceptibility and new.
Part of informative courses will be translated in Arabic for biology pre& in-service school teachers/HCW/ employee in industry/water treatment/food industry for community spread.
Part of training courses will be opened for technicians to promote technologies in this field.
